Questions
Straight answers to what people ask before an engagement starts.
Are you an agency?
No. We lead and deliver the work directly, and bring in specialists where a project needs expertise beyond our core team.
Are you a hosting company?
No. We’ll set up managed hosting, or work inside what you already have. You own the account and the contracts.
Do you only build WordPress?
We reach for it often — we know it end to end, and it’s usually the right call for publishing businesses. If something else serves the outcome better, we’ll say so.
Do you provide ongoing support?
Usually as an advisory and execution retainer, picked up after an initial engagement — not as a break-fix maintenance tier.
What does an engagement cost?
Priced against the outcome, never hourly, figured per engagement. There’s no rate card because there’s no standard job.
Do you mark up tools, hosting, or contractors?
No. Costs pass through at the agreed rate, in your name.
Do you take referral fees?
Sometimes, from partners we’d recommend regardless. When a referral fee applies to a decision you’re making, you hear about it first.
Who owns the work?
You do. Code, content, accounts.
Will you work as a subcontractor for another agency?
Yes — embedded with their team, or working behind their name, depending on what the engagement needs.
Where are you?
Maryland. Remote, with travel where an engagement warrants it.
